The Thunderbirds are a Girls fast pitch softball organization based out of Harleysville, Pennsylvania. The 18U team has players from the surrounding areas of Harleysville including Bechtelsville, East Greenville, Jeffersonville, Pennsburg, Pipersville, Royersford, Souderton, and Telford. The Thunderbirds will compete in various USSSA, ASA, and PONY tournaments against some of the best teams in the Mid-Atlantic States. Our goal is to not only play and compete with these teams, but also to represent our community, friends, and parents with pride and dignity. As the Thunderbirds have grown from a town travel team to a team that has selected players from many areas, our tradition and goals have remained the same. Very simply, we want to compete and have all the players on our roster compete. We will always treat the opposing players, coaches, and umpires with respect. The game is not always the most important thing that our players will learn. The respect for other teams and their teammates remain the most important lesson that these young ladies will learn and hopefully pass onto others. With the lessons learned on our travels playing softball, we hope that our players will pass these lessons onto the younger players in their community and that they will become the future coaches and mentors of those younger players.  |
